Home isn't where you're from; it's where you find light when all grows dark.

Home is a foundation for growth. It is a basic human right and an essential first step in addressing other health needs.

Housing is at the core of everything. A safe, secure home is the place we go to reflect, unwind and feel grounded.

Justice Housing Yakima believes housing is a human right and should not be predicated on how much money is in one’s pocket. By building Permanent Supportive Housing, we offer an evidence-based and harm reduction solution to house chronically homeless individuals and help them heal from their trauma. Our mission is to develop projects that support our belief that all individuals, no matter their backgrounds or life circumstances, have the right to safe, affordable and permanent housing.

Ellie Lambert Memorial Fund

In her career Ellie was involved in nearly every aspect of addressing the issues of homelessness in Yakima County.

Ellie Lambert (1968-2020) truly believed in the quote by Gandhi, “Be the change you want to see in the world.”

Ellie was one of the founding Board members of JHY. She was diagnosed with cancer in 2018, and worked hard to keep her dream alive as long as she physically was able. Sadly, she passed away in 2020. The remaining Board members and other supporters in the community are proud to carry on her work. The Board passed a resolution prior to her death to name the community center at Cottage Hill Village in her honor.
